Two women doctors, Dr B Purnima and S Ravali, are absconding. Police said that in the murder case, Azaruddin had also duped a minor girl and proposed marriage to her. The girl’s parents refused, citing that he already had two children and that his wife was pregnant with a third child. Frustrated, Azaruddin allegedly planned to eliminate his wife and daughters. As part of the plan, he disconnected CCTV cameras and cut off the power supply at his farmhouse. He then took his wife and two daughters to the farmhouse swimming pool and pushed them into the water, holding them under until they died. After confirming their deaths, he allegedly staged the incident as an accidental drowning following his daughter’s birthday celebration. The victim’s father, Sk Ali, later lodged a complaint, suspecting foul play. Police initially registered a case of suspicious death, but during the investigation uncovered the involvement of the accused, including the doctors and paramedical staff. All arrested accused were produced before a court, and efforts are underway to trace the two absconding doctors, the commissioner said.
