The Rivers State Police Command has announced the appointment of Agabe Kaborlo as its new Police Public Relations Officer.This was disclosed in a Friday statement signed by Grace Iringe-Koko, the outgoing spokesperson of the command, who said the appointment was approved by the Inspector-General of Police, Olatunji Disu.
“The Inspector-General of Police Olatunji Rilwan Disu has approved the appointment of ASP Agabe Blessing Kaborlo as the new Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) of the Command,” the statement partly read.
Kaborlo, an indigene of Rivers State from Ogoni in Tai Local Government Area, was commissioned into the Nigeria Police Force as an Assistant Superintendent of Police in 2023 after completing a five-year training programme at the Nigeria Police Academy, where she obtained a Bachelor of Laws degree. She also holds a Master of Laws degree from Rivers State University.
The command noted that she has undergone several professional courses, including combat operations and counter-terrorism training as well as citizenship and leadership programmes.
“She has served the Nigeria Police Force in various capacities with commendable professionalism, discipline, and dedication,” the statement added.
Her previous postings include the Divisional Police Station in Okporo, the Human Rights Section, and the Police Public Relations Office, where she served as Second-in-Command before her appointment.
