The Kwara State Government has directed the immediate repair of sections of the Children’s Specialist Hospital, Centre Igboro, following damage caused by a recent rainstorm.The directive, issued on Friday by the Kwara State Hospitals Management Board, led by its Executive Secretary, Dr Abdulraheem Malik, followed an urgent on-site assessment of the affected facility.
According to the board, the directive comes as part of efforts to restore the facility to full functionality and ensure uninterrupted healthcare services for patients, particularly mothers and children.
“In a swift and decisive response, His Excellency has directed the immediate repair of sections of the Children’s Specialist Hospital, Centre Igboro affected by the recent heavy rainstorm.”
“Work has already commenced to restore the hospital to full functionality, in recognition of its critical role in providing care for mothers and children.”
